The Leader in Me is successful in Tawhiid Islamic Nursery and primary School because:

• • Children are viewed as the main “characters” in the building of personality. They are empowered to do many things with no adult involvement.

  • Staff members model the 7 Habits making it easier for the pupils to copy.

  • Pupils and staff work together to determine the role leadership will play with each pupil, especially when it comes to leadership roles.

  • Each class develops a class mission statement and works toward fulfilling the mission throughout the school year.

  • Each pupil writes a personal mission statement and objectives designed to help him or her live it.

  • There is extensive use of leadership tools like leadership notebook in classrooms, between teachers, pupils and parents.

  • Parents are part of The Leader in Me program.
