The Leader in Me program is based on the book The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People written by Steven R. Covey.

What is Leadership? According to Steven Covey “Leadership is communicating a person’s worth and potential so clearly that they are inspired to see it in themselves"

What is The Leader in Me program?” It is whole-school transformation designed to improve the culture of a school, creating conditions where pupils and academics thrive.

The Leader in Me is like the operating system of a school. It is the inside; helping all other initiatives operate faster and better.

The Leader in Me paradigm is that every child is capable of being a leader. It is a whole-school conversion process that integrates principles of leadership and effectiveness into the school curriculum. Instead of teaching leadership as a “subject” once a week, teachers make leadership training part of everything they do. It is doing what you are already doing in a better way. The Leader in Me aligns the Academic system while creating a culture of personal leadership to achieve sustainable results.

The work we have as a school is to help every child feel worthy and full of leadership potential. That is the goal of The Leader in Me.

Through the Leader in Me our pupils learn essential skills and characteristics they need in order to thrive in the 21 st  century.  We teach them to use the 7 Habits in all aspects of their lives.  We believe that every child has the capacity to lead, make good choices, and positively impact on those around them.  The Leader in Me provides our pupils with an environment that empowers and embraces personal leadership.
